Today at the ESA Phi-week in Frascati (ESA ESRIN) e-GEOS has launched CUBEO, a new platform providing flexible and scalable tools to create and manage Data Cubes of satellite data “as a Service”.
As part of its new approach to Open Innovation, e-GEOS has developed CUBEO in partnership with MEEO exploiting the power of MEEO Data Cube technology (ADAM) in operational geoinformation applications.
MEEO is one of the most reputable expert in the Data Cube technology with more than 10 years experience in developing this technology. ADAM (which has been announced by MEEO during the Phi-week as well) is a versatile technology that e-GEOS has tailored to its own operational needs where the exploitation of long EO Time Series is critical to provide value to its Customers in several different vertical markets (agriculture, disaster management, insurance, etc.).
CUBEO is the first operational platform developed exploiting ADAM, thanks to a strong partnership between the two companies e-GEOS (applications) and MEEO (technology).
e-GEOS has recognized the importance of Data Cubes in the new geoinformation paradigm, where the exploitation of Big EO Data coupled with Artificial Intelligence is at its core. In this sense, CUBEO is the foundation of the new e-GEOS platform dedicated to the agriculture (AGRIGEO) and of all other new platforms with the aim of creating solid AI workflows to exploit the data on different markets: from agriculture to defense, form insurance to the asset management.
"With CUBEO, we will have the opportunity to jointly get our business goals in the wider spirit of the open innovation approach." – said Massimo Claudio Comparini CEO at e-GEOS.
“ADAM provides its best performance in supporting operational services due to its solid data preparation and access functionalities, thus it is the best technology to enforce e-GEOS business applications” – said Simone Mantovani, MEEO’s ADAM platform manager.
